The Arizona Social Work Action Alliance is a grassroots, statewide coalition of social workers, community partners, and allies dedicated to safeguarding our profession and the communities we serve through bold, independent advocacy. In an era characterized by detrimental policies, chronic underfunding, and escalating ethical pressures that threaten our capacity to practice in accordance with our core values, it is imperative for Arizona social workers to have a dedicated vehicle for rapid response to legislative matters, clear communication regarding the stakes involved, and organized power extending beyond individual agencies. The Arizona Social Work Action Alliance aims to address this need by amplifying these frontline voices, monitoring and interpreting policy developments in real time, mobilizing social workers to take collective action, and establishing a stronger, more unified presence at the Capitol, within regulatory bodies, and in local communities, ensuring that those most impacted by policy decisions are placed at the center of these discussions.
